FAQS - Contactless Catered Chalets

Our new range of contactless catered chalets offer you all the benefits of a chalet holiday, but with an increased element of privacy for your group. Please note, these chalets are available for sole occupancy only. Find out more about what to expect from our contactless catered chalet holidays below. 

What is a contactless catered chalet?

You’ll enjoy all the benefits of a standard catered chalet, the only difference is there won’t be a chalet team coming in and out to prepare and serve the food.

Four days before arrival we will send you a comprehensive provisions list with everything you would want for your holiday. Arrive in resort to find your chalet has been fully stocked. The fridge and cupboards will be full of all the provisions you need for the week. This might be oven-ready meals, ingredients to prepare dishes like fondue or Bolognese,  dry goods, dairy, fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and fish. There will also be a range of teas, coffees, beer and wines. 

All that’s left for you to do is choose what food you’d like to enjoy and when, then just heat it up or throw together a few simple ingredients and enjoy.

What exactly is included in the catering service?

If you opt for the contactless catering service, the price of your chalet will include:

  • Breakfast every day (including, coffee, tea, fruit juice, cereals, eggs, bacon, bread, jam etc)
  • Afternoon tea – cakes, biscuits, fresh fruit. To be enjoyed with a warming cup of tea after a day in the cold
  • 3-course dinner 6 out of 7 nights
  • Beer, plus unlimited red and white wine
  • Selection of teas and coffee
  • Premium chalets also include champagne for your first night, a Kir aperitif before dinner, selection of cheeses and port, and premium items on the menu

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

Of course! Please let us know of any dietary requirements when booking and we will adapt the menu to cater to your needs. Please note, there is a small supplement for gluten or dairy free menus.

Is it possible to self-cater, or receive flexible catering on select nights?

If you would like the freedom to choose your own menus, or prefer to dine out some nights, our á la carte contactless service gives you this flexibility. Order the food and drink of your choice, for the nights you want. Your order will be brought from a larger supermarket down the mountain, which means you’ll benefit from better prices than the smaller supermarkets in resort.

Of course, if you prefer to fully self-cater for the week, that’s no problem either and we can offer the chalet on a self-catered basis.

What is the difference between your classic and premium chalets?

Our contactless catered chalets are split into two categories, Classic and Premium. Both offer the same service, but with a slight difference in food and drink provided.

Premium chalets include champagne for your first night, a Kir aperitif before dinner, selection of cheeses and port, and feature premium items on the menu.

Will I still receive laundry and cleaning services?

On arrival, you will find the beds made, fresh towels, bath robes and slippers laid out. Mid-way through the week, while you’re out, your concierge team will come in and clean the chalet, provide fresh towels and make up the beds.

If you prefer daily cleaning, this can be arranged, just let us know.

What other services are available?

For those that would like a higher level of service, we can also provide drivers and private chefs. Just let us know on booking, or with your ski concierge prior to arrival.

What measures are in place for protecting us from Covid-19? 

Your concierge team have cleaning and safety protocols to follow and are provided with the recommended products to ensure the safety for all. Particular attention is paid to frequent points of contact (door handles, remote controls, light switches). The chalet is thoroughly aired prior to arrival and staff wear masks at all time whilst working. The chalets are only available on a sole occupancy basis.

If there's a problem during my stay, who helps me out?

Ski Chalets will be ready on arrival - beds made, dinner ready, fridges stocked, wine-cellars replenished, skis and lift passes all booked. But you won’t see us. We will, however, be at the end of the phone if you need us. You and your family will be safe and looked-after, as we work in the background, providing everything you need.

Is my package protected?

Our contactless chalet packages come with flights and transfers and are ABTA & ATOL protected. This is a brilliant way to enjoy the chalet experience next winter for those looking for that increased element of privacy.
