"From booking the holiday to returning home a well organised and great experience. La Tania was great for our 2 children who had not skied before."
Whilst you might not always have time in the day to reach the dazzling heights of Val Thorens, skiing in La Tania still means you have easy access to Courchevel and Méribel, giving you approximately 300km of skiing up to heights of 2,800m. The access to these additional larger ski resorts within the Les Trois Vallées area makes for a huge and varied overall mix of skiing which will be sure to keep beginner, intermediate and advanced skiers entertained all week long.
The local skiing in La Tania is varied with some long cruisy blues, as well as some more challenging slopes. Nearby Courchevel has good beginner and nursery slopes around Pralong. Intermediates will find a wealth of long cruisey blues in the Pyramides and Grand Bosses areas and with some challenging reds. Advanced skiers, who are quick enough, can head over to Val Thorens to get to the really challenging off-piste sections.
Snowboarders will want to head over to nearby Méribel and Courchevel for most of their days, whilst faster snowboarders can head up to Val Thorens to get to the best freeride sections and well-preserved powder. Boarders who love the park will be happy to know that Méribel has two fantastic parks with great kickers, rails and boxes.
With many ski schools and instructors to choose between, there really is something for everybody.
We’ve partnered with SkiBro, New Generation and Oxygène and highly recommend their services. All of our partners offer fantastic lessons for all ability levels.

The La Tania crèche will look after children as young as four months and who are not looking to ski. The ESF have a Piou-Piou Club for children three years and up, where they can learn to ski in a safe and fun environment.
La Tania ski resort has some great options for food, and Courchevel isn’t too far away if you fancy venturing out. Le Farçon has a Michelin Star since chef Julien returned from Le Bateau Ivre. We also like La Taiga with its great cocktails and superb Savoie cuisine. On the mountain, we recommend visiting Le 1928, Les Chenus and Le Bouc Blanc for hearty Alpine lunches and lovely beverages.
Pub Le Ski Lodge is the main bar and social hub in La Tania ski resort, where you can find your entire package of thriving après with live bands, happy hours and concerts, all of which keep going until 2am. La Taiga Lounge is a more sophisticated modern bar serving cocktails with live music, and runs on into the night too; also offering a fantastic restaurant upstairs.
La Tania is set right between Méribel and Courchevel, both of which have renowned shopping, leisure centres and restaurants. Visitors to La Tania ski resort can enjoy making day excursions to these neighbouring towns to enjoy their facilities, without having to pay the higher price points of actually staying there. In La Tania itself, there are a range of alternative winter sport activities to keep you busy, which include snowshoeing, sledge runs and dog sledding.
