Digital Marketing Manager 

Ski Solutions is looking for an experienced and results-oriented Search Engine Marketing / Digital Specialist to take our SEO, CRO and web development efforts to the next level.

The Digital Marketing Manager will report directly into the Head of Marketing and will be responsible for executing the digital strategy, working alongside the Marketing Campaign Manager. This role is well suited to an SEO/SEM expert with strong knowledge and a passion for online marketing. Applicants should be strong communicators, quick-witted and commercially focused, with exceptional organisational skills and a strong focus on execution. The overall responsibility for this role is to increase organic traffic and improve conversions from the website. Experience with paid activity would be a bonus.

You must be comfortable ‘rolling your sleeves’ up and getting hands on in the detail where required, but are capable of thinking and operating strategically. The successful candidate will be able to display evidence of proven successes through their career in the travel, retail, luxury or services sectors.

Person Specification

  • A minimum 5 years’ experience in a digital / SEM marketing position within a B2C environment
  • Highly organised and a self starter
  • Ambitious and hungry to outperform targets
  • Ability to make quick decisions while remaining calm under pressure
  • A passion for winter sports

Core Responsibilities

  • Work with external developers to update and improve the performance of the website. Full responsibility for managing the website development agenda
  • Use Google Analytics to understand the behaviour flow of users throughout the site
  • Define and deliver a conversion rate optimisation (CRO) plan
  • Perform A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Manage and deliver the SEO strategy
  • Work with the SEO agency to manage all aspects of SEO including on and off page techniques, link building, technical SEO (crawl errors etc)
  • Work with the in-house content team to deliver SEO strategy
  • Optimise copy and landing pages for search marketing campaigns
  • Use Google Analytics and other analytical programs (i.e. Moz) to deliver key campaign performance reports on a weekly / monthly basis
  • Work with the PPC agency to ensure campaigns are planned, managed and monitored to deliver optimal ROI
  • Execute tests, collect and analyse data, identify trends and insights
  • Provide recommendations and implement improvements to keyword lists, account structure and targeting
  • Budget allocation as per planning, monitoring campaign costs & ensuring ROI

Requirements

  • Proven SEM experience
  • Experience of successfully working with and managing agencies
  • Well-versed in performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
  • Strong working knowledge of the latest SEO techniques and algorithm updates
  • Good knowledge of Google Webmaster Tools, Google Analytics and AdWords
  • Good understanding of SEO tools i.e. Moz, Majestic
  • Strong analytical skills and experience generating SEM reports
  • Excellent understanding of website design and usability
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in search engine marketing
  • A good working knowledge of CMS platforms
  • Experience with A/B testing sites i.e. Hotjar, Crazy Egg
  • Ability to write and edit HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Ski Sales Account Manager

Based at Battersea Studios, London

Reports to Sales Manager

Role Profile

We are looking for a talented Account Manager to join our leading winter-sports tour operator and travel agent. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative, fast-paced sales team within a fast-growing luxury travel company based in a fantastic office in south-west London.

As Account Manager, you will be the first point of contact for clients. The purpose of this role is to develop and maintain a relationship with clients through focused account management. Using your sales skills and experience, you will convert enquiries into bookings making sure that agreed targets are achieved whilst maintaining the company’s high standard of unparalleled service. It’s important you are a keen skier who’s passionate about the mountains and looking for an exciting new challenge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert enquiries into sales by tailoring a package specific to the client’s requirements
  • Using expert knowledge of the ski industry to recommend a holiday package for clients
  • Attempting to close the sale at every opportunity
  • Actively seek to improve the level of service offered to clients with a commitment to go the extra mile and exceed expectations
  • Achieve and exceed sales performance targets against KPI’s including call conversion and margin targets
  • Take ownership and accountability of your work ensuring 100% booking accuracy
  • Develop and increase knowledge of products across the Ski Solutions range
  • Demonstrate willingness and flexibility to assist other departments with customer queries
  • Outbound calls to existing clients to maintain Account Manager relations
  • Manage your sales pipeline and bookings using our CRM and reservation systems

Personal Specification

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven sales track record, preferably in ski sales/tailor made ski sales
  • Proven record of working in a target driven sales environment
  • Highly sales motivated

  • Excellent verbal and written communicator, builds strong trusting relationships with clients
  • Ability to work under pressure to handle targets with a strong sense of urgency

Remuneration

We are proud to offer a market leading remuneration package that rewards hard work. All of our new starters undertake an extensive three-month training and induction period. The average OTE for a new starter in their first year with modest sales experience is £32k. Our higher earners with a few years’ experience earn over £45k on average, with uncapped commission potential.

After Sales Executive

Based at Battersea, London

Salary £18,000pa

This is a wide-ranging and exciting role, supporting our winter-sports programme, in a fast growing and ever-changing business. As part of our After Sales team you will be responsible for every aspect of the booking process once the client has confirmed their holiday. Our ideal candidate will have unparalleled customer service skills, a keen eye for detail and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Concierge

  • Provide support and guidance to the client post booking, ensuring unparalleled service is delivered at all times
  • Answering client queries regarding their accommodation or resort by phone and email
  • Selling Ski Solutions ski hire to clients
  • Assisting clients to book lift passes, ski school, nannies and restaurants

Administration

  • Liaising with tour operators or directly with European and North American suppliers to administer changes to client bookings
  • Processing new bookings and invoices
  • Preparing travel itineraries and sending client travel documents

Credit Control

  • Arranging client payments by phone or bank transfer
  • Chasing clients in a timely manner to pay any overdue monies

Essentials:

  • Previous office experience
  • Excellent written communication and a friendly telephone manner with a willingness to go the extra mile
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • You must work well in a team with a hard-working and flexible approach

As part of our After Sales team you will be responsible for supporting our clients and After Sales Executives with all administrative aspect of the booking process once the client has confirmed their holiday. Our ideal candidate will have passion for ski and travel, a keen eye for detail and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.

This is a great opportunity for you to gain office experience during your gap year or post university, in a young, vibrant and sociable team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Processing new bookings and invoices
  • Preparing travel itineraries and sending client travel documents
  • Producing ski hire vouchers for the client
  • Collecting client names and passenger details prior to departure
  • Liaising with tour operators to administer changes to client bookings
  • Supporting the After Sales & Operations Manager and the wider After Sales team with ad hoc admin duties
