Ski Solutions is one of the UK’s most recognised and trusted travel companies which with its sister brands BSpoke Tours and Cycling for Softies takes over 15,000 clients a year on Ski and Cycle holidays to Europe and North America.

The company formed in 1986 to independently manage and advise on travel arrangements for skiers, at that time poorly serviced by the High Street travel agent. Initially operating as a travel agent, the business began to grow a fledgling tailor-made tour operating programme in the early 2000's dealing with 3-5* hotels in the ‘classic’ Alpine resorts. Ski Sales Account Manager

Reports to Sales Manager

Based at Battersea Studios, London.

Role profile: We are looking for a talented Account Manager to join a leading winter-sports tour operator and travel agent. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative, fast-paced sales team within a growing luxury travel company based in a fantastic office in south-west London.

As Account Manager, you will be the first point of contact for clients. The purpose of this role is to develop and maintain a relationship with clients through focused account management. Using your sales skills and experience, you will convert enquiries into bookings making sure that agreed targets are achieved whilst maintaining the company’s high standard of unparalleled service. It’s important to be a keen skier who’s passionate about the mountains and looking for an exciting new challenge.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  1. Convert enquiries into sales by tailoring a package specific to the clients requirements
  2. Using expert knowledge of the ski industry to recommend a holiday package for clients
  3. Attempting to close the sale at every opportunity
  4. Actively seek to improve the level of service offered to clients with a commitment to go the extra mile and exceed expectations
  5. Achieve and exceed sales performance targets against KPI’s including call conversion and margin targets
  6. Take ownership and accountability of your work ensuring 100% booking accuracy
  7. Develop and increase knowledge of products across the Ski Solutions range
  8. Demonstrate willingness and flexibility to assist other departments with customer queries
  9. Outbound calls to existing clients to maintain Account Manager relations
  10. Manage your sales pipeline and bookings using our CRM and reservation systems

Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven track record in ski sales, preferably in ski sales/tailor-made ski sales
  • Proven record of working in a target driven sales environment
  • Highly sales motivated

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communicator, builds strong trusting relationships with clients
  • Ability to work under pressure to handle targets with a strong sense of urgency

Remuneration

We are proud to offer a market leading remuneration package that rewards hard work. All of our new starters undertake an extensive three month training and induction period during which we guarantee a salary of £28k pro rata. The average OTE for a new starter in their first year with modest sales experience is £32k. Our higher earners with a few years’ experience earn over £45k on average, with uncapped commission potential.

After Sales Executive

Ski Solutions, the UK’s leading specialist ski tour operator and travel agency have been in business for over 30 years and the people who work for us have a genuine love and knowledge of both European and North American ski resorts.

Based in Battersea, London, we are looking for the brightest and the best candidates with a proven track record in customer service and an insatiable desire to deliver ‘unparalleled’ service to join our After Sales team.

As part of our After Sales team you will be responsible for every aspect of the booking process once the client has confirmed their holiday. Work includes answering client queries and providing a concierge service, processing bookings and invoices, arranging client payments, amending bookings, selling ski extras (and earning commission from this), liaising with tour operators or directly with European and North American hotels and suppliers.

As part of our After Sales team you will be responsible for processing bookings and invoices once the client has confirmed their holiday, liaising with tour operators, issuing client travel documents and booking ski extras.

This is a great opportunity for you to gain office experience during your gap year or post university, in a young, vibrant and sociable team.

Sales and Administration Executive

Department BSpoke Tours and Cycling for Softies

Based at Battersea Studios, London

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales and Administration Executive to join the sales team in our cycling holiday division.

BSpoke Tours and Cycling for Softies are our two cycling and walking holiday brands with tours across Europe in Italy, Croatia, Portugal, Austria, Slovenia, France and Germany. BSpoke Tours and Cycling for Softies are summer sister companies to Ski Solutions, a leading winter sports tour operator.

If you are a bright, enthusiastic individual with solid customer service and sales experience and are looking for a new challenge, this could be the position for you. Due to the nature of the work, a passion for cycling is essential.

Role and Responsibilities

•    Responding to all telephone and email sales enquiries within agreed timescales from direct customers and travel agents
•    Ensuring that all leads are followed up and a high conversion rate of bookings is achieved in relation to targets
•    Provide expert advice and customer service
•    Accurate processing of bookings on the reservation system
•    Administration of cancellations and amendments to bookings
•    Liaising with suppliers to confirm and amend bookings
•    Assisting with product and price loading, researching new destinations, producing tour information notes and other general administration duties as required
•    Dispatching client documentation
•    Maintain a high level of product and competitor knowledge
•    To support with overseas training and temporary representative cover if required

Marketing Assistant Internship

Reports to Head of Marketing

Based at Battersea Studios, London

We are looking for a marketing assistant to join us for a six month internship.  This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an innovative, fast-paced environment and get hands-on marketing experience.

The main focus of this role is to work with the marketing and product teams to ensure that the best products are presented to the market primarily through the website at the right price so as to increase conversions from visits to enquiries. It will be part of this role to collate the most relevant offers for each brand from suppliers, merchandise the offers on site, communicate them to the sales team and report back on the success of set campaigns. 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  1. Update properties with latest images and content
  2. Update prices and availability
  3. Monitor pricing feeds and ensure that any problems are resolved swiftly
  4. Communicate deals and sales incentives to sales team
  5. Promote special offers on site and build pages to merchandise these offers
  6. Liaise with the rest of the marketing team and suppliers for product and deal updates
  7. Complete weekly competitor analysis
  8. Manage the social media accounts and generate ideas
  9. Build SEO product pages
  10. Supporting newsletter deals section
  11. Compile the weekly newsletter
  12. Manage property reviews
  13. Adding new properties to websites
  14. Offers and offer pages
  15. Manage the property database
  16. Other activities as required by the business to meet company objectives

Previous experience in product merchandising is advantageous but not essential as is a passion or interest in skiing.  A sound knowledge of the MS Office suite is required.
