For those who enjoy skiing off-piste, there are acres of terrain ready to be explored. Plus an added benefit, the lift queues are virtually non-existent – even on the weekends!

Neighbouring Champoluc, Gressoney is a charming Italian ski resort in the centre of the Monterosa ski area, with easy and direct access to the region. In both Gressoney-La-Trinité and Gressoney-Saint-Jean expect warm Italian hospitality, rich cultural tradition, and excellent skiing in one of the largest ski areas in Italy. The extremely short transfer time from Turin Airport (just 85 minutes!) and advanced ski terrain makes Gressoney a fantastic choice for a weekend break.

La Thuile
La Thuile is a perfect choice for those who prefer a slower ski holiday. The tranquil ski resort is one of the most picturesque in the Aosta Valley and a great alternative to the mainstream European ski areas. With more than 160km of slopes and almost 40 lifts, there is plenty of terrain to cover. Or perhaps you would like to explore the unspoiled nature in a different way. Cross-country skiing and fat biking are some popular activities available to discover the majestic ski resort.

Cervinia
For fantastic border skiing, Cervinia is a great option, with Zermatt accessible in just a few chairlifts. There are 360km worth of slopes connecting the two ski resorts, offering skiers a plethora of challenging runs across the two. The Matterhorn Mountain is the impressive backdrop to the remarkable ski runs, giving exceptional views from all angles. We recommend descending Reine Blanche, the longest run in the region (22km!). It starts at Klein Matterhorn (3,883m in Switzerland) down to Valtournenche (1,524m in Italy). Cruise your way from one country to the next.
