If you’re the type of skier who just can’t wait to get out to the slopes each morning, then ski-in ski-out chalets are the perfect solution. Whether you’ve booked a ski weekend or a longer break, there’s nothing like skiing directly from your doorstep straight onto the slopes. We have a huge amount of these available to you but for some inspiration, take a look at these fantastic properties, helping you to ski-in and ski-out with ease.
Not only does Chalet Marie enjoy a premium location right on the piste in Avoriaz, but it’s also just two minutes away from the village centre, meaning you can ski straight to the best restaurants and bars around.
The chalet comes fully equipped with a sauna, log fire and heated boot racks, and has a rustic wooden décor, complete with Alpine antiques. Floor to ceiling windows and a balcony offer scenic views across the valley and faraway peaks, and its close proximity to the ski schools makes this a great property for families and beginners.
Located above a blue piste in the Alpages du Chantel complex, Chalet Tetra offers traditional comfort combined with modern convenience. A stone and timber open fireplace dominates the open-plan living/dining area, and a balcony looks out over the piste below.
For a chalet to be located so close to the slopes and the town centre is rare in this area, but Chalet Tetra is just a 300m walk from the bars and nightclubs of Les Arcs 1800. Arrive at the Red Hot Saloon in time for Happy Hour and you’ll be rewarded with a basket of Belgian fries to go with your pitcher.
Chalet Refuge Boua | Méribel
Accommodation doesn’t come much more central than La Boua, especially in Méribel, which has very few slope-side chalets. The slightly basic interior is more than made up for by its proximity to the ski school and main lift area, as well as being just 150m from the village centre.
The La Kouisena restaurant, located just five minutes from the piste, is a great option for the day when the chalet staff have their night off. Restaurant staff wear traditional Savoyard outfits and serve up generous portions of local cuisine, such as traditional tartiflette cooked on a wood burning stove.
Chalet Catherine | Val Thorens
You can ski straight to the front door of the stylish detached Chalet Catherine, set right on the slopes in the centre of Val Thorens. The upstairs terrace offers stunning views of the distant Caron Peak, and the dining room enjoys the warmth of an open fire.
La Malaysia, the largest club in the Alps, is located just a couple of minutes away, but its underground setting means it won’t cause any sleepless nights. For those who prefer to take it easy in the evening, the Chalet Catherine has a sauna on the ground floor, as well as a cosy lounge area.
Considered one of the most sought-after chalets in the whole of the Alps, Chalet Le Chardon is the perfect example of pure ski-in ski-out luxury living. Situated quite literally on the piste, all you need to do is put on your skis in the morning and step out the door.
Le Chardon also boasts floor to ceiling windows and a large sunny terrace with views that stretch all the way down to Vallée de Manchet and beyond. Each of the ten bedrooms over the two floors has their own south-facing balconies and are individually styled. After a long day’s skiing, simply relax in front of the open fire or head outside to enjoy one of the two hot tubs.
