Those seeking the tough stuff can venture further up to the couloirs, cliffs and plunges in the cluster of bowls from Jupiter Peak downwards. Staying at Canyons Village there is a range of ski in ski out options that give you easy access to the slopes. Take the heated Orange bubble chairlift or Red Pine gondola from Canyons Village base right into the heart of Park City ski resort.

Climbing up through the middle of the town, Main Street is the lively heart of Park City, snapping to attention around après-ski time, with live music, dancing, and even home-brewed ale at the Wasatch Pub.

Park City ski resort played host to the 2002 Winter Olympics, making it the most famous resort in Utah. Park City is an extremely laid back ski resort, with over 100 named trails and more than enough piste for everybody. Boasting 250km of skiable terrain, Park City is a great ski resort for intermediates looking to cruise the American snow. There are over 17 peaks for skiers to enjoy, and with 40% of this covered with snow-making abilities, fantastic snow is ensured. The longest run sits at 4.5km, a fantastic thigh-burner for every ability skier.

Try the Super Condor or McConkey’s chairlifts –  they tend to be quieter and serve some of Park City ski resort’s more scenic runs. Each day the ski resort grooms more than 100 runs of varying difficulty levels, to offer the most groomed terrain of any ski resort in North America. Check out the groomers off of the King Con lift. They are intermediate heaven. And for the beginners, Homerun is ideal. It’s lengthy and easy – more enjoyable mid-morning when more advanced skiers are further up on the mountain.

Advanced free-riders will revel in all that Jupiter peak has to offer, with some amazing bowls that require a bit of hiking and then dropping in. However, this resort is also great for first-timers looking to find their boarding legs.

The Yurt is situated over 8,000 feet above sea level and features an authentic wood burning stove. The views are spectacular, especially in the evening when the twinkling city lights blanket the landscape below.

The Utah Olympic Park in Park City is home to ‘The Comet’, a 3,000ft bobsled ride. There is also the Alpine Coaster, which journeys through over a kilometre of scenery. The ride features a track over a mile long, with plenty of thrilling loops, twists, and slopes. Zipline rides are also available. There is an abundance of shopping on offer, bowling alleys, museums and galleries, as well as beauty treatments and wellness.
