With an extensive and efficient lift system reaching all the way up to the Rettenbach and Tiefenbach glaciers, skiing is guaranteed year-round. Most of the runs favour intermediates, with experts getting an admirable selection. The opportunity to ski at a high altitude, above 2,000m, enhances the reliability of the snow, guaranteeing great skiing conditions. There is also a 4km floodlit piste for night skiing and a ski show at the Gaislachkogl middle station every Wednesday, often featuring live acts and a musical fireworks display – not to be missed.

Long runs and open terrain are favoured by boarders enabling great freeriding opportunities. There is also a terrain park above Giggijoch which is well-established and regularly upgraded. Sustainable Choice

All of Sölden’s electricity is renewably sourced, and there are a number of innovative initiatives in place in the resort to reduce the environmental impact. Every night, green electricity is used to bring up the heating storage devices to a temperature of 630 degrees, and this heat is then gradually used the next day to heat up buildings within the village. Sölden’s famous Ice Q restaurant at the top of the slopes is also on board with sustainability, with its glass facades strategically in place to harvest energy from natural sources and reuse it within the building for heating or cooling purposes.
