Val d’Isère après-ski has a varied and lively nightlife with loud pubs and popular nightclubs open until the early hours. Home of the original après-ski experience – The legendary Folie Douce, and the iconic Dicks Tea Bar which was founded in 1979. Take a look at our pick of the best après ski and nightlife in Val d’Isère:
Start of the season, end of the season…all season, the parties at La Folie Douce are something else. A popular bar for young skiers, La Folie is known for its bouncing club atmosphere, indoors and out, with an epic international line-up. Thanks to a modern restaurant serving regional delicacies and a canteen-style eatery for an easy bite, you won’t go short of food either. There’s an outdoor BBQ-style kiosk for grilled snacks while you party. La Folie prides itself on being an après-ski adventure for those who love to burn the candle at both ends.
Situated at the bottom of the resort in La Face, Bananas is a Val d’Isère institution. Ideal for those on the descent from the mountain, this restaurant serves an assortment of Mexican, Indian and French specialities.
This is a well-loved nightclub with international DJs, a host of live music and some of the best après-ski around. The order of the day here is dancing on the tables, and the atmosphere is always buzzing. It’s right at the foot of Solaise and the Face de Bellevarde, so you can jump straight in and enjoy the open-air setting with unreal views. There’s no need to fear going hungry after partying either: snacks and sandwiches will keep you going.
Open every day throughout the season, The Fall Line Bar is the ideal spot in the day for a coffee and cake. Skiers can relax on the most comfortable sofas in Val d’Isère, whilst embracing this lively après and late-night spot.
Dicks Tea Bar has been a Val d’Isère après ski institution since 1979. Having played host to many 80s celebrities back in the day, today the After Dinner Club has a multitude of amazing live performers. Enjoy in house-musicians and DJs all waiting to entertain you. It’s open seven days a week during the ski season. Start the evening with cocktails, wine and high-end drinks served at your table. The venue then turns into a nightclub till the wee hours.
Located in the centre of the village, The Pacific Bar is famed for its themed nights, live DJs and sports. With arguably the friendliest atmosphere in Val d’Isere, skiers can party the night away in this bar which is open from 4pm – 1:30pm.
