Ski Solutions is one of the UK’s most recognised and trusted ski travel companies carrying approximately 10,000 passengers a year and with an annual turnover in excess of £10m.

The company formed in 1976 to independently manage and advise on travel arrangements for skiers, at that time poorly serviced by the High Street travel agent. Initially operating as a travel agent, the business began to grow a fledgling tailor-made tour operating programme in the early 2000's dealing with 3-5* hotels in the ‘classic’ Alpine resorts. A very high standard of service, and the specialist knowledge of a highly-experienced sales team are the hallmarks of the Ski Solutions product and our means of differentiating ourselves in a crowded market. In 2007 it acquired ifyouski.com and with its strong online presence and contrasting reach sits within the group as a standalone brand.

Ski Sales Account Manager

Battersea, London

Ski Solutions, the UK’s leading specialist ski tour operator and travel agency are looking to strengthen their sales team with brilliant, target driven individuals looking to be a part of one of the fastest-growing and entrepreneurial businesses in the travel sector.

We are looking for the brightest and the best candidates, with a proven track record in travel sales, exceptional knowledge of our core winter destinations, and an insatiable desire to deliver ‘unparalleled’ service through our unique method of customer-centric account management.

You have spent a couple of years in sales, are smashing your targets, want an environment in which you can earn more money, and are now looking for your next challenge. You will already have a good grounding in the product (hotels, chalets or apartments), have a love of the mountains and are probably the person sat in the office thinking ‘if I had better, higher margin product to sell to nice clients I could make a fortune’. We will give you that opportunity.

We look after our staff very well – on average our sales team have been with us for over eight years and are widely regarded within the industry. We invest in the personal development of each member of the team and pay an above average basic salary alongside a very generous performance related bonus scheme.

Your first year OTE with us is £37k. If you have genuine talent you have the realistic potential to earn £45k+ by your second year with us.

Essentials:

· Travel industry sales experience with a proven and quantifiable track record showing exceptional and consistent sales performance

· An eager attitude towards learning new product and new ways of working

· An exceptional and unwavering attitude towards delivering the very highest levels of customer experience

· Knowledge of our core product and the destinations we operate to

· A burning-desire to earn far in excess of the ‘normal’ in travel sales and be a part of a dynamic and fast growing business

Would like:

· Language skills (French, German or Italian) are useful

· A background in high-end tailor-made travel sales

Marketing Executive

Battersea, London

 

To work across all channels on and offline to deliver the Ski Solutions marketing plan.

The Marketing Executive will be responsible for the delivery of creative for promotional campaigns from concept through to draft and final sign off. Working for a leading ski tour operator you will have the opportunity to create campaign content in an innovative environment. To take responsibility for the delivery of creative across a number of areas of the business including websites covering a number of brands and their associated areas of promotion including online and offline.

An interest in travel is important, even more desirable would be experience of skiing or snowboarding but not essential. A key asset will be a passion for all things creative, a strong portfolio and a ‘can do’ attitude. We are looking for a candidate who is a strong team player and is passionate to learn and get involved in the wider delivery of the marketing function of the business. An interest in all things online is a key asset including the associated channels including email marketing, banner creative and social media.

Salary will be dependent on experience; graduates looking for their first role are welcome to apply.

Key skills and attributes

A good understanding of the role of marketing and brand communications.

Copywriting for both on and offline material, understanding of SEO would be a bonus.​

Strong Photoshop, InDesign, HTML, and CSS skills.​ Flash would be a bonus

Ability to learn and work with email delivery systems and Content Management Systems

Excellent project management skills with the ability to multi-task and consistently hit deadlines.​

Ability to manage creative process from concept through to final design/build

Numerate and capable of working with data

Excellent visual and verbal communication skills with a good eye for detail.​

Self-starter and quick learner who will pick up new software easily.​
