Looking straight up at the Matterhorn, Ulysse 8 is ideally located in one of Zermatts most sought-after areas, opposite the picturesque Winkelmatten chapel. A selection of intimate restaurants is close at hand, the local store is nearby and the bus connecting with the village centre stops just outside.
It is a short walk down to the Matterhorn Express gondola station and, for much of the season, it is possible to ski back to within 100m or so of the chalet via the Moos yellow run.
Set out over three floors, there are six well appointed bedrooms, four bath and shower rooms and two spacious living rooms, one of which has an inviting fire place. Whilst the ground floor has its own outside entrance, breakfast and dinner is served in the intimate dining area next to the large open-plan kitchen on the first floor.
Three of the bedrooms have their own TVs with DVD as do each of the living rooms which are also equipped with a sound system. Internet connectivity is assured by the chalets wifi network.
On the lower ground floor, there is a heated ski room with boot warmer and a relaxing wellness room with a sauna and shower as well an area where a range of massage and beauty treatments can be booked as an extra.
Tastefully furnished and decorated, Ulysse 8 has a warm, friendly atmosphere and provides a high standard of accommodation for both adult and family parties.

Free electric buses connect all the main lift stations on the valley floor and there are plenty of milk float-style electric taxis for hire. Wander off the main Bahnhofstrasse and you will quickly be walking beside ancient wooden “mazot” huts filled with farm animals and hay.
