The village centre of Zermatt is a 15 minute walk away and there's an excellent bus service that runs into Zermatt regularly and the main gondola is really close to the chalet; you can go to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise without being worried about getting up and down the mountain each day, and when you return you can warm your boots on the heated boot rack in the ski room.
There is a fantastic indoor swimming pool in basement. Plus, there's a sauna, steam room and massage room..
