Hotel Alpenruh

The Alpenruh, Murren is nestled high in the mountains, an attractive chalet-style hotel with a cosy, friendly atmosphere. Perched on a plateau for superb views of the surrounding mountains, the cosy Alpenruh has direct access to the skiing via the Schilthorn cable-car just next door and the Allmendhubel funicular just 5 minutes' walk away (500m). Guests can ski back down to the hotel.

Situated in the car-free resort of Mürren in the Bernese Oberland with the giant peaks of the Bernese Alps across the valley. From the village, massive granite walls drop straight down to the Lauterbrunnen Valley far below.

There is no access by automobile—the only way to reach Mürren is by cable car from Stechelberg or by cable car from the Lauterbrunnen station.

The Hotel Alpenruh is conveniently located next to the Schilthornbahn cable car, which begins at the valley floor at Stechelberg, stops in Mürren, and continues on to the Schilthorn.

The hotel is built in an attractive old Alpine style with a wraparound balcony from which to relish the view while enjoying a drink or perhaps lunch. A sauna is at your disposal free of charge for relaxing after a day out in the mountains and several massages can be booked as well.
