Grindelwald

The lovely village of Grindelwald is a charming, picturesque Swiss ski resort situated at the base of the Jungfrau ski region. Overlooking the north face of The Eiger, visitors can enjoy some of the Alps’ most stunning panoramic views. Grindelwald ski resort is steeped in mountaineering history; the traditional character of which can be felt in the alpine chalet-style buildings and charming cog railway station.

The well-known neighbouring ski resorts of Wengen and Mürren are directly accessible from Grindelwald, providing plenty of further skiing opportunities. These legendary landscapes have attracted mountaineers for many years, and a visit to Grindelwald is sure to be made by its stupendous views across the Swiss plains.

Grindelwald skiing is mainly suited to intermediate skiers with lots of blues and easy reds to progress on. The V-cableway are two lifts that transport skiers and snowboarders to the Eiger Glacier and the Männlichen in style. Recent investment has seen upgrades making the lifts quick and comfortable.

Off the slopes, Grindelwald boasts Europe's longest sledging run and an extensive network of mountain walking trails. There’s also a great mixture of classy restaurants and lively bars. There’s really good nightlife for a small ski town with some great options available.
