The lift system is fast, modern and efficient. Ski Areas in Livigno

Livigno ski resort is located in Alta Valtellina, near the Swiss border. The expansive ski area set over two sides of the valley, Mottolino and Carosello 3000, covers more than 100km of slope catering for all skiing abilities. Mottolino is known as the 'fun mountain' with a snowpark and plenty of off-piste terrain. Carosello 3000 has plenty of wide, groomed runs, perfect for honing your ski and snowboarding skills. The modern lift system means that queues are a rarity.  As Livigno ski resort sits at high altitude, there is always high-quality snow - even at village level.

Skiing in Livigno

Livigno hosts a good mix of runs for all abilities. For beginners, there are many drag lifts near the village - the perfect place to improve your skills before heading into the mountain. Just above the village is lots of skiing terrain perfect for intermediate level and advanced beginners to enjoy. For advanced skiers, Livgno ski resort has two black runs starting at 2,785m as well as plenty of off-piste skiing opportunities. 

Snowboarding in Livigno

All levels and disciplines of snowboarders are catered for in Livigno. The terrain parks and off-piste challenges in the Mottolino area mean freeriders and freestylers are kept busy. In addition, there are also wide groomed runs perfect for intermediate boarders who love carving. There is also a dedicated area for beginners with good slopes to progress on.

With a wide selection of restaurants and bars, Livigno has something for everyone's palette. The majority of restaurants offer traditional dishes with local recipes available at a reasonable price. La Rusticana is a resort favourite, as is Marios, hosting excellent local food and service, perfect for families. For a finer dining experience, Concordia specialises in local and traditional dishes.  

Après Ski in Livigno

Livigno hosts a lively and vibrant après scene. Hotel Alegra's après ski bar, Alegra translating to 'lively', is perfect for a drink or two and even a dance after the lifts close. Additionally, Bivio Club, under Hotel Bivio, hosts a bar with live music and also a DJ, playing into the early hours of the morning. Marco's is popular with British skiers, airing sporting events as well as music into the early hours.

Non-Skiers

Non-skiers in Livigno ski resort can be entertained with other winter activities on offer such as snowmobiling, dog-sledding and ice-skating. Aquagranda offers a swimming pool, gym and beauty centre open every day. Day trips to the Swiss ski resort of St. Moritz are also available and can be booked from the tourist office.
