Montgenèvre

Montgenèvre ski resort is a small village set at an impressive 1,850m between France and Italy at one end of the big cross-border Milky Way network. There is plenty of accommodation right on and close to the slopes, along with a good amount of restaurants and bars. The ski resort claims to be the oldest in France and is the 5th largest skiing area in the world with 400km of pistes to explore. The Grand Montgenèvre ski pass allows you to head to neighbouring Italian ski resorts Cesana, Sestrière, Pragelato , Sansicario and Sauze d'Oulx

Montgenèvre ski resort proudly boasts French charm with an Italian flair, offering a fantastic combination of a record of 300 days of sunshine a year, one of the best snow records in France and a range of wide and uncrowded pistes to suit skiers and boarders of all abilities.

In recent years, Montgenèvre ski resort has stopped traffic going through the main village. This means the town itself is far more peaceful now. The après ski atmosphere is very much a relaxed one with quiet bars to unwind in. Enjoy traditional French and Italian cuisine in the dozen of restaurants in the area.

You can fly into Turin or Chambery airports, both of which have a reasonable hour and a half transfer time into the ski resort.
