La Rosiere

La Rosière ski resort is an Alpine gem with a friendly atmosphere and superb skiing. Located high up on the road that climbs towards the Petit St. Bernard, the village is built in a traditional style amongst a wooded area. Accessible by car or bus to the more well-known ski resorts of La Plagne, Les Arcs, Val d'Isère and Tignes, La Rosière offers the opportunity to make the most of the vast skiing in the area. In the evenings the bars and restaurants come alive and are a great place to relax, enjoy some drinks and meet the ever-friendly and welcoming locals.

La Rosière is part of the Espace San Bernardo ski area, which links La Rosière and the Italian ski resort of La Thuile. There is 160km of slopes to enjoy on the piste map if you get a full lift pass. Skiing in the area is mainly suited for families and intermediates. However, there are some runs to keep more advanced skiers entertained.

The village itself has a rustic Alpine vibe. The chalets still have the traditional Savoyard style architecture. The atmosphere is very relaxed and peaceful. There isn’t a party après scene, however, there are plenty of nice bars to enjoy a drink in the evening. As for the food, it’s exceptional. The restaurants have both a French and Italian cuisine influence, whilst catering for different budgets. On and off the mountain you can have delicious meals.

One of the other plus points of La Rosière is the amazing scenery. You can take in the beautiful Isère Valley mountain backdrop on the slopes and in the village. A great way to unwind and admire the natural surroundings of the area.
