Skiing in Isola 2000

Beginners have a large designated area near the base of the resort, meaning that they won’t have to travel far to practice. Intermediates will find long, windy blues and reds which are well maintained and not a series of mogul-fields. The resort's terrain is mostly geared towards those starting out, meaning advanced skiers have a more limited range of black runs, however, there are some great freeride sections under the lifts, especially through the trees and little cliffs around Les Melezes.

Snowboarding in Isola 2000

There are plenty of easy-going beginner runs in the low-traffic areas around the base of the resort. Overall, Isola is an excellent resort for those who are still mastering the basics, with plenty of gentle terrain. More advanced boarders can head to the resort's freestyle park or go searching through the trees under the lifts for some admirable off-piste territory.

Restaurants in Isola 2000

Isola 2000 has a selection of good restaurants serving hearty Alpine cuisine and a few others serving sumptuous steaks and perfect pizzas. In the resort, we like L’Himalaya who serve some great steaks and have a varied menu. Chez Madame Phok is also worth a visit, offering up an alternative mix of Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine.

Après Ski in Isola 2000

Nightlife and après ski is relatively low-key, but there are several bars to choose between after a long day on the slopes. After the lifts shut, most of the crowds head to Le Crocodile, a popular pub with the locals as they regularly show live sport. The Snowball bar is also another great spot which opens early and doesn’t close until 2:30am.

Non-Skiers

Purpose built for skiers to maximise their time on the slopes, Isola 2000 is not the ideal destination for non-skiers as there are not a huge number of off-mountain activities readily available. However, with Nice and Auron being so close there is the option to travel around and enjoy day excursions to the neighbouring bustling cities.
