Zell am See

Zell am See is a beautiful lakeside ski resort that combines family facilities with lively nightlife and a skiable glacier. The skiing in Zell am See is mostly suited for beginner and intermediate level skiers. There are a few challenging black runs for advanced skiers. On a powder day, there are good off-piste opportunities too, but it's mostly tree skiing.

The winter 2019/20 season marked the opening of two large new lift projects, K-onnection and zellamseeXpress. These transformed the ski resort's skiing into one of the most diverse ski areas in Austria. Enjoy 408km of pistes and 121 lift facilities spanning three ski resorts, all of which can be accessed by the Ski Alpin card.

Zell am See is a pretty town on the shores of Lake Zell surrounded by towering mountains. Its pedestrianised centre dates back to the 13th century and positively buzzes in the evenings. The resort is popular in summer and winter, meaning the tourist infrastructure is excellent. It is so family-friendly that it has won various awards, while the lively nightlife appeals to the party crowd.

There are plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy in the main town of the Zell am See ski resort. Families can enjoy a low-key restaurant meal in the village. Visitors can also enjoy the many lively bars with live music and happy hours. In addition, you can also go curling, Nordic walking and ice skating
