Zell am See

Zell am See is a beautiful lakeside ski resort that combines family facilities with lively nightlife and a skiable glacier.

It's a pretty town on the shores of Lake Zell surrounded by towering mountains. Its pedestrianised centre dates back to the 13th century and positively buzzes in the evenings. Zell is popular in summer and winter, meaning the tourist infrastructure is excellent. It is so family-friendly that it has won various awards, while the lively nightlife appeals to the party crowd.

The winter 2019/20 season marked the opening of two large new lift projects, K-onnection and zellamseeXpress. These transform the ski resort's skiing into one of the most diverse ski areas in Austria. Enjoy 408km of pistes and 121 lift facilities spanning three ski resorts, all of which can be accessed by the Ski Alpin card.
