Restaurants in Mayrhofen

There are plenty of restaurants in Mayrhofen, both on and off the mountain. Wirtshaus Zum Griena, rumoured to be Mayrhofen's oldest restaurant, serves traditional Austrian food and dirndl-clad waitresses bring steins of beer. Hotel Kramerwirt has an excellent restaurant within, where traditional dishes are mixed with international and produce is sourced from their own farm. For a more upmarket meal head to Hotel Elisabeth, where their Mamma Mia restaurant serves up delicious Italian specialities.

Après Ski in Mayrhofen

It all starts in the Pilzbar's umbrella bar, with Europop blaring, and moves down to the Ice Bar at the Hotel Strass. Scotland Yard, ironically Mayrhofen's old police station, is generally full of seasonnaires, whereas Bruck'n stadl is where you should head for nightclub-style après-ski - music and dancing continue until 2am here. Another popular nightspot is The Arena Club in the Hotel Strass, which plays every type of music under the sun. A quieter, more sophisticated drink can be enjoyed in the Harakiri Bar.
