The fantastic resort of Maria Alm is part of the Hochkönig ski area and is located in the Austrian Alps. The area has 120km of skiable pistes and is extremely accessible - there are three airports within a two-hour drive, making it a perfect resort for short break and ski weekends.
Maria Alm and its ski area are stunning; the traditional Maria Alm village with Austrian architecture gives the resort that wonderful Alpine feeling. The resort is home to the highest church spire in the Salzburg region. There is an exciting après scene, yet it is perfect for families.

Maria Alm is a beautiful, charming unspoiled village sitting at the end of the Hochkönig ski area. The village itself is beautiful, boasting an impressive church in the centre. The area is best for adventurous intermediates looking to have some fun and maybe challenge themselves, however, there are also some local nursery slopes for beginners. Maria Alm has 40km of cross country trails too, for those that may fancy trying something new.
Maria Alm is part of the Hochkonig ski area and has access to 120km of downhill skiing. 85 lifts serve 83 individual pistes covering all difficulty levels. They tend to be wide and lined by trees as they take you through the forest, and provide fantastic skiing for intermediate skiers in particular, boasting three snow parks for the more adventurous skier and excellent off-piste territory. For beginners, there are also great local nursery slopes available.
The Blue Tomato Kings Park in Mühlbach, contains the longest park in Austria. The fun slope, complete with waves and tunnels, makes Maria Alm an extremely exciting resort. Lovely wide pistes and access to three snow parks has made Maria Alm a haven for snowboarders.

Maria Alm is full of choices when it comes to restaurants. There is a great variety of rustic huts both on and off the mountains, making it easy to find somewhere to suit everyone throughout your stay.
After a great day of skiing, Maria Alm is best known for its 'Sundowner'. Awaiting you at the ski huts is the most beautiful sunset, combined with culinary treats and cocktails. There is an abundance of rustic huts and umbrella bars throughout the resort that make the perfect location to socialise and drink throughout the evening.
For non-skiers there are fantastic snowshoe tours, some lasting up to six hours, that make a great way to experience the beauty of the mountains. Many of the hotels will also have spas perfect for relaxing in.
