Set high in Switzerland’s Canton of Graubünden, LAAX has redefined modern Alpine skiing. Visitors will find a unique mix of exciting terrain, stylish accommodation and a laid-back, youthful atmosphere. Whether you’re enjoying the pistes or relaxing with a drink in the sun, LAAX is a resort where you can experience both adventure and comfort.

LAAX is set in the breathtaking landscape of the Rhine Gorge, also known as the “Swiss Grand Canyon”, and the UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site of Sardona, offering impressive views. With 216 kilometres of slopes, the resort offers some of the most extensive skiing in Switzerland. It is renowned for its five snow parks, including the world’s largest halfpipe, ideal for freestyle skiers and snowboarders.  Around 70% of the terrain lies between 2,000m and 3,018m, ensuring reliable snow throughout the ski season.

Ski holidays in LAAX are about more than just skiing, so if rails and jumps aren’t your thing, there is still plenty to explore, from peaceful winter hiking trails to cross-country routes and sledging tracks.

The Slopes

Beyond its scenic setting and vibrant atmosphere, LAAX offers skiing for every level. Beginners can enjoy the wide, gentle blue runs, while longer, steeper red runs challenge intermediates. Advanced skiers can tackle black runs and freeride terrain, stretching from the glacier at 3,018m down to the village bases of LAAX, Flims, and Falera at 1,100m and 1,220m, providing a true mountain-to-valley experience. The interconnected lift system enables skiers to easily explore all 216 kilometres of slopes, offering a variety of terrain and a unique overall experience.

For freestyle enthusiasts, LAAX is world-renowned, boasting snow parks, halfpipes, and freestyle zones that attract athletes from around the world. Skiers and snowboarders can test their skills on jumps, rails, and the famous world-record halfpipe, while still enjoying more relaxed runs when desired. One of the standout experiences is skiing the Vorab glacier, where snow is practically guaranteed and panoramic Alpine views stretch as far as the eye can see.

Exploring LAAX’s mountains reveals a mix of quiet forest paths, wide open trails, and high-altitude plateaus, with each run offering a fresh perspective of the surrounding peaks. Whether you’re perfecting your carving, chasing fresh powder or skiing with the family, the variety of the terrain makes every day feel different and exciting.
