Ischgl
Located in the vast ski region of Tyrol, Ischgl is an ideal place for intermediates to book their ski holiday. There is an impressive 240km of slopes to enjoy in the area, with 47km of blue runs and 150km of red pistes. There are 42 lifts that interlink the runs perfectly, with 12 high-speed chairlifts and three gondolas. You will be able to get around the mountain with ease. If you like lively nightlife, Ischgl has fantastic bars and clubs to enjoy.

Kitzbühel
Arguably one of the most famous ski resorts in Austria, Kitzbühel is fantastic for intermediate skiers. Despite being the home of one of the most challenging ski runs in the world, the Streif, there’s great terrain for mid-level skiers. You can explore 234km of slopes, with 106km of blues and 66km of reds. The resort skiing reaches 2,000m which means the snow reliability is great throughout the season. If you want a good combination of lively bars and traditional alpine charm, Kitzbühel is an ideal choice.

Kühtai
Despite being a relatively small ski resort, Kühtai is one of the best ski resorts in Austria for intermediates. It has 46km of slopes with 9km of blues and 26km of reds. Kühtai has a unique remote location and high altitude. This means you’re going to get great reliable conditions throughout the ski season. If you want a peaceful ski experience then Kühtai is a fantastic destination for you.
Lech
Lech is part of the amazing Arlberg ski area, which has a vast amount of terrain for intermediates. You can have access to an impressive 305km of slopes, with 133km of blues and 135km of reds to enjoy. Due to its location and high-altitude skiing, the snowfall can be high throughout the season. The ski resort has a reputation for luxury ski accommodation and a stylish vibe. Fun fact, it was also the location for the second Bridget Jones’ Diary film.

Obergurgl
Obergurgl is towards the end of the beautiful Otz valley. The skiing is ideal for intermediate skiers. You can explore a total of 110km, with 35km blues and 55km reds. It has great links to neighbouring ski resort Hochgurgl. Most of the ski hotels are ski-in ski-out too, so getting to the lifts and slopes is a breeze. The resort skiing reaches up to 3,080m high, so the snow conditions are very reliable.

Saalbach-Hinterglemm
The combined ski resorts of Saalbach-Hinterglemm have 270km of slopes you can enjoy in the area. There are 140km of blues and 112km of reds to ski on. You will be able to get around the mountain with ease because Saalbach-Hinterglemm has the highest proportion of fast lifts of any major ski resort in the world. The town itself has a vibrant lively atmosphere with plenty of bars and restaurants to visit after skiing.

Sölden
Despite being the annual first stop on the FIS Alpine World Cup, Sölden is brilliant for intermediate skiers. You can explore 155km of slopes in the area with 74km of blues and 54km of reds. It has glacier skiing available which means the ski resort’s season is longer than most in Austria. If you’re a James Bond fan, part of Spectre was filmed in the area and there’s a 007 Elements installation to visit.

St. Anton
St. Anton is arguably one of the most popular Austrian ski resorts. Intermediates will enjoy the vast amount of options within the huge Arlberg ski area. The town itself has a great mixture of family-friendly activities and lively bars, something for everyone. No wonder it’s one of the most visited areas in the Alps.

Zell am See
