Corvara, Italy
Corvara is a lovely village in the heart of Alta Badia. The ski resort is one of the larger ski resorts in the region with easy access to the 130km of pistes in the area. Corvara is perfect if you’re part of a group of mixed ability skiers or snowboarders. As you explore the area you can take in the spectacular scenery. It’s a truly beautiful place to go skiing in Alta Badia.
The whole region is known for its elegant cuisine and great choice of restaurants in the mountains. In-resort, Hotel La Perla’s Michelin-starred restaurant ‘La Stüa de Michil’ is a must-visit if you’re a keen foodie. Enjoy tasty Italian dishes in a warm comfortable atmosphere. The choice doesn’t stop there! Corvara has many high-quality places to eat after you’ve had a day on the slopes.
The cosmopolitan but still traditional character of the village is ideal for those looking to enjoy après in style. You can enjoy the finer things in life like a refreshing glass of wine, homemade cakes or even a champagne cocktail to celebrate. L’Murin and the Hotel Col Alto’s Iceberg Lounge bar are popular spots to enjoy a lively atmosphere with a classy twist.

Colfosco, Italy
Colfosco is ideal for family skiing in Alta Badia. This part of the ski resort is well linked to wide cruisy blues in the sunny Edelweiss Valley – Val Stella Alpina. The warm welcoming atmosphere is similar to Corvara but more tranquil. It’s perfect if you want to relax and drink in the stunning view of the village and the Alta Badia ski area.
Colfosco is connected to gentle pistes and forests, perfect for those at beginner levels or wanting a quiet cruise around the mountain. More advanced skiers can get to more challenging terrain easily in Arabba, Selva, or skiing the famous Sella Ronda.
Despite it being a smaller village, Colfosco still has a fantastic choice of restaurants to choose from. For the best homemade pasta and pizza head over to Restaurant Pizzeria L’Tabladel for a bite to eat. A local favourite is the Altrove bar where they serve a selection of tasty cheeses and delicious sandwiches.
Alternatively, you can lay back and relax on the sun terrace of Restaurant Mathiaskeller. The après scene is a relaxed casual one, but there are small bars that are lively at certain times of the year.

San Cassiano, Italy
A ski resort with real charm, San Cassiano is located between La Villa and Cortina and has great access to the Alta Badia ski area via the Piz Sorega gondola. At your doorstep are many options to ski different ski areas and admire the view of the incredible Dolomites. Like most ski resorts in the Alta Badia, San Cassiano is great if you are a part of a mixed ability group.
Off the slopes, San Cassiano has a brilliant choice of places to eat. The village has one Michelin-star restaurant: St. Hubertus at the Hotel Rosa Alpina, that serves superb traditional Alpine-flavoured dishes from the South Tyrol region. For a place to eat and to take in the amazing mountain views, Las Vegas Lodge is a great spot to chill with an afternoon drink.
When you are not skiing, you can enjoy a toboggan run at Piz Sorega. The 3km run is surrounded by beautiful mountain views. A great place for families to enjoy.

La Villa, Italy
La Villa is home to the most challenging skiing in Alta Badia. Test yourself on a World Cup grade slope by trying out the Gran Risa black run. You can ski on the run for most of the season apart from some days in December when the world’s best come to town. A unique experience!
Apart from the Gran Risa, La Villa has pistes for all levels and is fantastic if you’re a part of a mixed group. At the base of the resort, there are two nursery slopes perfect if you are a beginner ready to learn and practise. Then you can head up the mountain for more of a challenge. The Piz La Ila gondola can get you to the Sella Ronda circuit in no time.
You are spoilt for choice when it comes to top-quality restaurants in La Villa. La Tor is ideal for families and serves heavenly pizza and traditional Ladin cuisine at an affordable price.
The village has a quiet après atmosphere with a few bars open if you want a quiet drink. However, on the mountain, Club Moritzino has a resident DJ that starts in the early afternoon. You will be dancing on tables by 4 pm for sure. It also serves tasty bar snacks and food to keep your party going.
