Covid-19: Before You Travel

Your Travel Checklist

We are currently planning to operate to all of our Ski destinations this winter.

Covid-19 has created unprecedented and highly fluid rules and regulations relating to international travel. In the period leading up to your departure, our highly experienced Client Services and Operations teams will be monitoring the situation and will be in touch with you to advise if there are any changes to your booked itinerary.

We pay close attention to the guidance from the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), ABTA, Public Health England and local health authorities in our destinations. It is important nonetheless for you to keep abreast of the latest FCDO travel advice to establish the most up to date entry requirements.

Top Tips Before You Go

  1. Make sure you have adequate travel insurance, not only with Covid-19 in mind but of course winter-sports. Look specifically for policies covering the broadest risk of Covid-19 diagnosis before you travel and/or requirements to self-isolate. This coverage is now widely available and will cover a number of scenarios which you may be concerned about which are out of our control. If we are unable to safely operate your holiday (e.g. we cannot get you there due to border closures, or mandatory quarantine restrictions are imposed which could not have been avoided through vaccination) we will offer alternatives or a refund. If you cannot travel due to Covid-19, but we can operate your holiday you will need to rely on travel insurance. Don't forget to ensure you have the right wintersports coverage for your needs.
  2. Stay informed and understand the latest rules relating to international travel to and from the UK.
  3. Make sure you are familiar with the entry requirements of the country you are visiting, including vaccination rules, testing requirements and requirements to submit a passenger locator form before departure - find out more here.
  4. We expect some sort of Covid-19 testing on your return to the UK to be a part of the travel regime for the winter ahead. Our Ski Solutions team have a lot of experience in this and can help guide you through this where needed. You should always book your tests in advance, we recommend 7-14 days before departure - find out more here.
  5. Remember your face mask. All airlines currently require masks to be worn on the plane. We will know more about specific rules around mask wearing in destination nearer to departure. More information can be found on the FCDO country pages.
