Top Tips Before You Go

  1. Stay informed and understand the latest rules relating to international travel to and from the UK. Make sure you read our country by country ‘Winter Travel Guide’. Using this, in conjunction with the FCDO advice should give you the answers to most of your pre-departure Covid questions – find out more here
  2. Make sure you are familiar with the entry requirements of the country you are visiting, including vaccination rules, testing requirements and requirements to submit a passenger locator form before departure - find out more here
  3. Pre-book your Covid-19 tests. Make sure you are aware of the tests required for the destination you are travelling to and the tests required to return to the UK. Our Ski Solutions team have a lot of experience in this and can help guide you through this where needed. You should always book your tests in advance, we recommend 7-14 days before departure - find out more here
  4. Make sure you have adequate travel insurance that covers Covid-19 and winter-sports. Look for policies covering the broadest risk of Covid-19 before you travel. This coverage is now widely available and will cover a number of scenarios which you may be concerned about which are out of our control. If we are unable to safely operate your holiday we will offer alternatives or a refund. If you cannot travel due to Covid-19, but we can operate your holiday you will need to rely on travel insurance.
  5. Remember your face mask. All airlines currently require masks to be worn on the plane. We will know more about specific rules around mask wearing in destination nearer to departure. More information can be found on the FCDO country pages.
  6. Children under 12 years old generally travel with little restriction if they are with fully vaccinated adults. For older children, if you can get them fully vaccinated life is unquestionably less complicated in the mountains this winter. There are some restrictions to be aware of in every country, so do check our ‘Winter Travel Guide’ – click here. If you are travelling to France with children, we have a more specific guide, 'French Covid Health Requirements' - click here.
  7. Following Brexit, make sure you check your passport is still valid. If you have a British passport, you will need to have at least six months left on your passport and your passport must have been issued within the last 10 years. We recommend you check the latest guidance - click here.
