The slopes are best-suited to leisurely intermediates, with some of the best cruising terrain in the Alps, both above and below the tree-line. There are, however, plenty of options for more adventurous skiing, including some steep blacks and plenty of off-piste, served by a state-of-the-art, award-winning lift system.

Madonna di Campiglio is well-known for its shopping, with more than 40 shops dotted around the village. Known as the Pearl of the Dolomites, Madonna di Campiglio offers an extensive ski area with access to Cinque Laghi, Spinale, Pradalago and Pinzolo areas. With more than 150km of varied terrain, at an elevation of up to 2,505m and a highly-rated interconnected lift system available, it is no wonder the resort is hugely popular. There is a vast snow-making system meaning skiing is always accessible.

The vast ski area of Madonna di Campiglio means there is something for everyone. Beginners and intermediates can enjoy long blues, and good progression runs are available. For advanced intermediates and experts, there are numerous blacks, as well as off-piste areas and racing runs. The long, sweeping black slope, Spinale Direttissima, is perfect for those wanting a challenge. Cross-country routes and night-skiing are also available in this resort.

Snowboarding in Madonna di Campiglio offers wide, groomed trails and good opportunities for off-piste. Snowboarders can also enjoy the four terrain parks on offer across the resort. The URSUS snowpark located in the Grosté area offers different sections for all levels of boarders. Madonna di Campiglio offers several, lively bars for an après scene. Piano 54 hosts a DJ through the evening and is also known on resort for its ‘show dinner’ every Wednesday, offering food and various performances. After the après is over, Piano 54 turns into Des Alpes Mood Club that stays open until late.

Non-Skiers

Non-skiers have plenty to do in resort – a three-mile toboggan run from Monte Spinale accessed by the Spinale Gondola, various walking trails and ice skating, to name a few. Nearby resort Folgarida has many paths for snow hiking, and guided tours are offered by Gruppo Guide Alpine. In Madonna di Campiglio town, there is a public wellness centre open with indoor pool, whirlpool and sauna to use.
