Situated at 1,236m, the beautiful resort of Ortisei is the biggest village of Val Gardena. Whether you choose to head south towards the Alpe di Siusi, characterised by short blue and red runs set in stunning scenery, or north to Santa Cristina, hosting numerous runs within its large bowl, you will be spoiled for choice. Unlike the other resorts in the valley, the nature of the Ortisei’s skiing offers essentially two skiing destinations in one.
The village is full of character made up of pastel-coloured buildings, cafes and restaurants. Arts and culture play an important part in the resort and is a common place of work for numerous wood carvers. After a day on the slopes, enjoy the resort’s large number of shops or indulge in food and drink at the rustic Tyrolean style pizzerias and lively après-bars.
