Les Menuires ski resort offers a wide choice of ski-in ski-out accommodation. Go skiing in Les Menuires for access to 600km of pistes.
Lying just below Val Thorens, Les Menuires is a great place to base your holiday with plenty to offer beginners on the lower slopes and the whole of Les Trois Vallées to satisfy intermediate and advanced skiers. The village itself is purpose-built and extremely convenient for skiers thanks to the wide range of ski-in ski-out accommodation.
In addition to this, there are plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy after the lifts have closed. There are a few nightclubs on offer, however, in general, the après ski scene here is slightly more laid back compared to some of the other resorts nearby.
Resort Altitude: 1,850m
Resort Skiing: 3,250m
Total Ski Area: 600km

Cross Country: 120km
Tucked away in the Belleville valley, which is home to half the runs in Les Trois Vallées, skiers have no shortage of sunny pistes to ski around while staying at Les Menuires. The range of pistes is vast; with 600km of slopes to explore and neighbouring resorts such as Meribel, Courchevel and nearby Val Thorens to keep skiers of all abilities busy all week long.
The skiing around Les Menuires is perfect for intermediates and some sections are good for beginners. There are enough blues and greens to keep you entertained all week, with some more challenging runs available to progress to around Val Thorens. Advanced skiers will enjoy the black runs in Les Menuires or can head up to Val Thorens to take on a larger selection of more challenging black runs and some thrilling freeride descents.
Snowboarders can expect good intermediate riding around Les Menuires and beginners will have a few nursery slopes to help them get their boarder legs. More advanced freeriders will probably want to head over to Val Thorens for the best off-piste and biggest array of challenging runs. Boarders looking for a terrain park have the Pixel area in Les Menuires, which is good for advanced and beginners alike, you can also easily get over to Meribel’s fantastic terrain parks from here.
With many ski schools and instructors to choose between, there really is something for everybody.
We’ve partnered with SkiBro, New Generation and Oxygène and highly recommend their services. All of our partners offer fantastic lessons for all ability levels.

If you’re traveling during a peak week be sure to book these well in advance.
The Piou-Piou Clubs in la Croisette and Les Bruyères are run by the ESF ski school and offer childcare for younger children ranging from three months to five years old.
We recommend Le K for some upmarket dining and creative dishes, or La-Haut who serve meat dishes and great classic cuisines like fondue, raclette and tartiflette. On the mountain we suggest trying out Le Grand Lac, who offer up big hearty lunches at reasonable prices, L’Antigel has a large sunny terrace and serves brilliant lamb gratin and Beaufort tart.
Les Menuires isn’t as lively as its neighbours but you can still have a party here and there. Après away the day in Val Thorens' La Folie Douce, and then ski your way back down to Les Menuires or alternatively get a low-cost bus back from there. Head to Le Kube for a more relaxed vibe with fantastic cocktails.
At the foot of the slopes, you’ll find Le Plan B who are open from 10am to 2am, offering après and late-night music.
There has been plenty of investment over the last few years in non-ski activities and with so many different sections of the resort, each with their own character, non-skiers will have plenty to keep themselves occupied while in town.
Paragliding, or Parapenting as it’s known in France, is a great way to see the mountains. But if you'd prefer to keep your feet firmly on the ground, there is plenty of snowshoeing, tobogganing and cross-country skiing available in the resort.
