"Excellent small resort, with easy access to Italy."
La Rosière is lift linked with the Italian resort of La Thuile and has a great snow record. The two resorts form a substantial south facing ski area of approximately 152km called the Espace San Bernardo. The only drawback of the link is that it is a drag lift, which can be difficult for some beginners. The ski area is best suited to families and intermediate skiers, but there is still plenty here for everyone to enjoy themselves.
This area is best suited for intermediates, with wide cruisey blues and some steeper reds; perfect for practicing turns and building up technique on. Beginners won’t have too much trouble skiing here but if you’re unfamiliar with drag lifts you may find it hard to get to nearby La Thuile over the boarder in Italy. Advanced skiers and freeriders will enjoy the thrilling black runs and good off-piste sections on offer.
Intermediate snowboarders will find La Rosière fun for cruising with the wide slopes on offer, whilst beginners may struggle with the drag lifts. Advanced snowboarders will most likely cruise through this resort with little challenge. Park boarders should head to Poletta snowpark where there's a great series of rails and kickers.
With many ski schools and instructors to choose between, there really is something for everybody.
We’ve partnered with SkiBro, New Generation and Oxygène and highly recommend their services. All of our partners offer fantastic lessons for all ability levels.

La Rosière has some options for childcare including Les Galopins Kids’ Club who will look after children as young as 18 months. There is also the ESF childcare ski groups and several private nannies within resort who can offer additional services such as evening babysitting.
The restaurants in La Rosière are exceptional, offering a good variety of food with both Italian and French influences ranging from the very affordable to the very expensive. In resort we love Le Genepi, who serve brilliant duck, steak and salmon specialities. Le Flocon also serve great dishes at affordable prices.
On the mountain, we love L’Antigel which is located on the slopes down to La Rosière. This traditional panoramic restaurant serves great lunch dishes.
La Rosière doesn’t offer crazy après like its neighbouring resorts but it still caters for those who are looking for a drink or two after a long day skiing. After the lifts shut we recommend Bar La Roz for those who love to dance on tables and great drink prices, and Le Moo bar for a more relaxed and chilled out vibe.
La Rosière offers a great range of alternative winter sports activities which are perfect for non-skiers and skiers looking for something a bit different to fill a whiteout day. These include snowshoeing, ice driving, dog-sledding and even ice diving for those who are feeling brave. there are also some lovely spas in resort.
This is a full board hotel - including flights/transfers, local area lift pass, tuition, childcare, open bar/snacks & entertainment...
