Schladming Dachstein Ski Resort

Centrally situated in Austria, the large connected area of the Schladming Dachstein Region offers a vast amount of different pistes and bowls. At the heart of the area, Schladming has four connected mountains accessible from the village, whilst the Dachstein Glacier and charismatic SnowBear Land guarantee to offer up a different style of terrain.

The old town of Schladming sits at the foot of Planai, one of the four linked mountains, and is steeped in ski tradition. The host of many World Cup events, the traditional village has an appealing square with beautiful shops, bars and restaurants.

The four rustic and quaint satellite villages are easily accessible and allow for access to the other mountains in the area.

Most of the slopes are in the trees, creating exciting and technical pistes. Each mountain has a variety of different runs and an extensive number of pistes. Ideal for intermediates, the cruising pistes and tree runs are perfect for those that have been on skis a few times. For the more advanced there is a limited selection of excessively challenging slopes, however, the off-piste and tree terrain makes up for the lack of classified black runs. For those just starting out, there is a nursery area and plenty of easy blues to progress on to.
