The skiing in Ellmau is great for beginners through to advanced level skiers. With excellent instructors and varied terrain Ellmau ski resort is a haven for first time and unpractised skiers. For the more advanced skiers, Kitzbühel is accessible via Brixen and offers some more challenging pistes.
Ellmau is a great place to learn to snowboard with relaxed and easy local slopes. Large cruising runs are perfect for boarders that prefer a relaxed style of riding. For those more advanced there is a terrain ark with everything from beginner to expert features.

A ski crèche is available for children between the age of six months and four years in Ellmau ski resort. Parents can choose whether this is for a full day or just for a few hours so they can squeeze a few runs in.
There are several small food stops offering food and refreshments on the mountain. These restaurants include places such as the Jägerhütte, the Rübezahl Alm and Siglu where you can eat great food and enjoy a pleasant atmosphere. Ellmau ski resort has a selection of 20 restaurants available for you to choose from through the day and night. These include; Bergland, Restaurant Bergkaiser and The Ellmauer Alm where you can dine in with your family or friends and unwind after a long day on the mountains.
There is a bar for everyone in Ellmau ski resort, with almost every taste covered so that you can enjoy your time off the slopes. In the early evening, the resort becomes more animated and is well equipped with eight bars and pubs as well as a club. Memory is one of the most popular pubs in the resort and gets lively during the early evening. Pub 66 have regular themed events that are always entertaining. The Ellmauer Alm has live entertainment regularly and is a lot of fun.
Ellmau is a large ski resort and offers alternative activities to engage non-skiers throughout the day. Examples include ice skating, bowling, swimming and paragliding. The larger neighbouring resort of Söll also has plenty to do for those who aren’t skiing. Excursions to Innsbruck, Salzburg and Vitipeno are easily arranged but if you want to stay in the resort the funicular offers the opportunity to head up the mountain and relax in a mountain restaurant.
