Switzerland Snow

Monday 20th February was another great day to be out in the Swiss mountains. Weather wise it was a pleasant day, with sunny skies and comfortable temperatures. On piste snow conditions can be described as good generally and excellent on the freshly groomed runs this morning, thanks partly to the snow which fell during Friday and Saturday that has helped to refresh the mountain. Early morning conditions are slightly firm and fast becoming more varied and soft as the day progresses. Off piste conditions are tending to be poor and mostly packed/tracked, and in some places patchy snow cover is all that is available. In the week ahead, tomorrow is expected mostly cloudy although no snow is expected. Beyond this brief change conditions will remain fairly pleasant with partly cloudy skies dominating until the week. Friday is expected to be a snowy cloudy day. In the long range forecast there currently some significant snowfalls forecast, better information will be available on this after the weekend.
