Located at the top of the Schanfigg Valley, Switzerland, Arosa is an brilliant all round winter resort with a number ski runs and non-ski activities to take part in.
Full of Alpine ambience, Arosa largerly caters for the more wealthy holidayers and attracts just as many non-skiers as it does skiers.
Sitting at an altitude of 1,800m, the snow fall each year is great and has a lift system to match.
The resort offers 70km of pistes offering a range of runs for all. The majority of runs favour beginner and intermediate skiers but there are number of great runs and off piste available for the more advanced skiers. The resorts slopes are good for both skiers and boarders.
As great as the resort is for the level of skiing on offer, the nightlife falls short of expectations. Apres ski activities are rather quiet with the main activities being great restaurants and hotel based bars.
Arosa is a very popular resort for family holidays with its simpler runs making it easy for beginners to get the hang of sliding down the slopes while still getting a true Alpine holiday
