Whether you’re taking a short break or enjoying a longer skiing trip, you can maximise your time out on the slopes if you find the right ski-in, ski-out property. You’ll love the hassle-free convenience – and style – of our favourite slope-side chalets in Switzerland and France.

Chalet iGloo – Morzine, France

Not only does it have ski-in, ski-out access, but the luxurious Chalet iGloo is located just a stone’s throw from the Savoyard-style village of Morzine, with more than 40 bars and restaurants to choose from, as well as a couple of nightclubs. The chalet sleeps up to eight adults and four children, and each of the vast bedroom suites has a sunken bath tub and floor-to-ceiling mountain views. Indulgent features include a gym with sauna and Italian rain shower, boot room with heated boot racks, wine cellar and table football. There’s even a 3D cinema with its own screen-side bar.

Chalet Ulysse – Zermatt, Switzerland

The six-bedroom Chalet Ulysse enjoys a prime location in one of Zermatt’s most sought-after areas, right in the shadow of the Matterhorn. There’s a good selection of restaurants nearby, a bus service connecting to the village centre, and the Matterhorn Express gondola is only a short walk away. The three-floor chalet includes two vast living rooms, a wellness room with sauna and shower, and a heated ski room with boot warmers. If you need some advice on making the most of your time on the slopes, just ask the fully qualified mountain guide or ski instructor, who’s available to the chalet party from Monday to Friday.

Chalet Elephant Blanc – Val d’Isère, France

The five-bedroom Elephant Blanc is located right beside the nursery slopes in Val d’Isère, making it ideal for families or groups with beginner skiers in the party. The chalet sleeps up to ten guests in spacious bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom. A sauna and outdoor hot tub are perfect for soaking away any aches and pains, while the communal living and dining areas are ideal for spending some quality time together at the end of the day.

Grande Corniche – Les Gets, France

The six-bedroom Grande Corniche is one of the newest chalets in Les Gets, offering top-of-the-range amenities such as a glass sauna, outdoor hot tub, wine cellar, wellness area and conversation pit. The bedrooms can accommodate up to 12 guests and all come with plasma TVs and valley views. The massive Portes du Soleil ski area surrounds the property – you’ll be able to glimpse Mont Blanc from the dining and living areas.

Chalet Carmen – Tignes, France

The Savoyard-style Chalet Carmen enjoys access to the vast Espace Killy ski area, with a prime location just 50 metres from the pistes, and only a five-minute walk from the shops and restaurants of Tignes le Lac. Rustic wooden décor and large windows give the chalet a stylish, contemporary feel, and there’s even a spa with its own sauna. The bedrooms can accommodate up to six guests, and all come with en suite bathrooms.
