Sunstar Alpine Hotel Grindelwald

Sunstar hotels are the first hotel chain to go carbon neutral, with an emphasis on locally sourced food and the option for guests to donate to climate protection – which Sunstar will then not only match, but double. Between May 2008 and October 2019, the chain offset all CO2 emissions from its Swiss hotels, and now are committed to invest in more future regional climate protection.

A relaxed and sociable atmosphere roams throughout the hotel from the lovely open fireplace and gentle piano music playing in the lobby to the half board 'Ambiance' restaurant which offers mountain views. The hotels a la carte restaurant, the 'Adlerstube' has a wine cellar, gourmet menu items.

The facilities at the hotel are fantastic with Wellness Oasis' large swimming pool, log sauna, Roman baths with massage showers and the hotels wide range of sports such as the fitness centre, aqua-gymnastics and aerobics.

Grindelwald

The lovely village of Grindelwald is a charming, picturesque Swiss resort situated at the base of the Jungfrau region. Overlooking the north face of The Eiger, visitors can enjoy some of the Alps’ most stunning panoramic views. The resort is steeped in mountaineering history; the traditional character of which can be felt in the alpine chalet-style buildings and charming cog railway station.

The well-known neighbouring resorts of Wengen and Mürren are directly accessible from Grindelwald, providing plenty of further skiing opportunities.
