Ben, our chalet host, was a gem - a fabulous cook, wonderfully tidy and organised and great with the kids. The chalet was lovely and it was a bonus to be able to ski back to the door. April 2013

Chalet L'Aarmoise was fine - rooms were fairly small, but similar to other accomodation in this style. Showers were hot all the time and didn't run out at 5pm like most ski chalets!

The week was made by the truly fantastic service and attention received by all the guests from your chalet host Ben. Nothing was too much trouble - he was attentive, informative and friendly and represented Ski Solutions in the most professional manner. His culinary skills were a delight and he couldn't have been more helpful to make our stay pleasant and memorable. Congratulations are due to Ski Solutions and Ben. We will most definitely be looking to book our next skiing trip with Ski Solutions.

We had an amazing stay in Chalet L'Armoise. It was well furnished, rooms were sparce but spacious with an en-suite in each room. The sitting room/ dining area was comfortable and welcoming at the end of the day. Our chalet host Ben was the making of our holiday. He kept the chalet immaculate, provided delicious meals (really delicious!) Was incredibly helpful and cheerful and provided everything we required and more. We shall be back!

We stayed at the Chalet L'Armoise in Tignes as a group of two friends. The chalet hosted 12 and was full. The groups were nice though and we all got on fine so it was laid back and pleasant. Ben, our host was an absolute star as I have often found chalet hosts to be. The food was great and the chalet was warm and relaxed. Bedrooms were adequately sized but not luxury size so watch out for the slopey roof which is a head banging fiesta when you forget and stand up. Beds were basic but comfy. Showers were good. Chalet is clean and tidy; only one side of the bedroom is sloped so there is room to live too. We went at the beginning of Feb and it was REALLY cold. You expect cold in the mountains at that time but be warned the wind chill really was minus 34 at the high points. This is a nice chalet and all but the most fussy will probably be quite happy staying there and have a great holiday. February 2013

We have just returned from an awesome holiday in Tignes. Chalet l'Armoise was really cosy and close enough to stagger back from apres ski. We were very well looked after by Nick and Jago- excellent chefs and hosts. Booking the holiday with Ski Solutions was hassle-free and they were really helpful when one of our party had to cancel at the last minute. We got a great deal and had a fantastic time!

Tignes

Ski holidays in Tignes offer lively atmosphere with world class snow-sure skiing on the doorstep.

Tignes was created before the French discovered the benefits of making purpose-built resorts look attractive, although it has to be said that  some attractive new buildings are being added. The renovated old village at the lowest point of the slopes is a favourite lunch spot and a friendly and nice place to stay.

Tignes lies at an altitude of 2,100m and the main settlement is at Tignes Le Lac, which also has a satellite suburb called Le Lavachet, but there is another satellite development along the road at Val Claret, at the foot of the lifts up to the Grande Motte. Getting between the various parts of Tignes is easy enough on skis during the day and Le Lac and Le Lavachet are within reasonable walking distance of each other. A shuttle bus service links Val Claret with the rest of Tignes. It runs frequently during the day, half-hourly after 8.30pm and hourly after midnight throughout the night.
