Gruber Hotel - Short Break

Marlene and Josef opened the doors of the Gruber hotel in 1977 on Christmas Eve, and the hotel has since become a home away from home for many guests. Located just a few minutes from the ski area of Sexten Dolomites, the hotel sits in a beautifully secluded area. There is a free shuttle for guests that can be used to and from the slopes. This hotel lies in Sexten within the 3 Zinnen ski area.

There is a real sense of attention to detail throughout this family hotel. Each of the rooms projects a warmth and cosiness, which makes this retreat very special. Views can be panoramic of the Sexten Dolomites, or of the beautiful meadows and forest on the north side of the hotel. Despite its size, the hotel boasts its own wellness area with Finnish sauna, steam bath, infrared cabin and relaxation room. Guests can soak and enjoy pure wellness after a day on the slopes exploring what the Dolomites has to offer. The hotel is half-board or B&B, offering a rich and full breakfast, followed by the option of a three-course meal in the evening.

This family-run hotel is truly beautiful and would create the perfect mountain refuge for any skier.

3 Zinnen

Ski between the towering peaks of the Dolomites in this unspoilt UNESCO World Heritage Site. Staying in either of the charming Alpine towns of Sesto (Sexten) or San Candido, you will have access to 115km of pistes. The 3 Zinnen ski area is made up of five connected mountains – Monte Elmo, Orto del Toro, Croda Rossa, Passo Monte Croce and Ski Area Val Comelico – easily accessible by the lifts in the 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski area.

With 31 well-connected lifts that rarely have queues, getting around 3 Zinnen is quick and easy. Each of the Alpine villages has their own distinct character with Italian and German infleunces. We love stopping for lunch at one of many family-run mountain rifugios for a plate of local cuisine. 3 Zinnen is suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers with pistes varying in difficulty, these sweet ski towns are also extremely family friendly.
