Chalet Gertrud Gabl

Chalet Gertrud Gabl is named after the owners mother who won the Alpine skiing World Cup in 1969 and was a legendary local skier. The chalet holds her World Cup trophy along with other Olympic and World cup memorabilia and photographs.

It offers a mix of modern and traditional style over four floors with fabulous views over Rendl from every room. There are eight comfortable bedrooms, all with ensuite facilities and a lovely welcoming living area with deep sofas just inviting you to sit back and relax and enjoy the view through the vast picture windows. There is even the benefit of an open fireplace providing a perfect focal point to relax before dinner with your apertif and canapes. A further highlight is the Wellness area with a sauna - the perfect way to relax and unwind after a great day on the slopes.

Situated in the quiet Stadl area, the chalet is conveniently located about 10 minutes walk down to the resort centre, lifts and slopes. The ski bus also stops very close by if you don't fancy the walk back to the chalet.

The chalet is fantastic for friends, families and groups and is available to book by individuals as well as groups of up to 16. The top floor's self-contained apartment 'Mini Gabl' is also available so larger groups can occupy the entire chalet!

Unfortunately we are no longer able to operate the domestic hot tub for our guests in Gertrude Gabl. Whilst we were aware of rumblings in resort last season that the authorities may clamp down on the use of domestic hot tubs, nothing was finalised and we had no formal notification by the authorities in respect of Gertrude Gabl.

Resort details

St. Anton

St. Anton is one of the oldest and finest resorts in the Alps, bursting with stylish hotels, restaurants and chalets.

Known for its impressive snow record, St. Anton lies deep in the Arlberg region at the western end of Austria, one of Europe’s snowiest spots. Just two hours away from three international airports, the village is remarkably easy to get to. Intermediate and advanced skiers are in their element here thanks to the varied ski area and the extensive network of pistes (340km) and lifts (97).

The village has more than a few swanky chalets and hotels, but also caters well to more modest budgets. It is safe to say, however, that if you are looking for a hotel with the wow factor, you are sure to find something to fit the bill on St. Anton ski holidays.

After a day carving up the mountain, it’s worth checking out St. Anton’s renowned après ski scene. Arguably the spiritual home of après ski, St Anton was put on the party map back in the 60s thanks to the two legendary bars either side of the Galzig piste: The MooserWirt and The Krazy Kanguruh.
