Champs Avalins

Offers available

Chalet Hotel Champs Avalins is in an excellent location at the foot of Val d'Isère's La Daille slopes and you are assured a genuinely warm welcome from the team of professional, friendly staff, led by an experienced manager. From the moment you walk through the door, their foremost goal is to ensure that the Champs Avalins provides you with excellent friendly service and wonderful food.

You can ski back to within just 50m of the hotel, and each morning you have a choice of lifts right on hand to whisk you up the mountain. Swift access to the heart of the Espace Killy ski area is actually even better from here than from Val d'Isère's resort centre, with three main lifts to choose from, all within a few minutes' easy walk from the hotel.

Inside the Chalet Hotel, the Champs Avalins offers a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The bedrooms are generally a good size and are attractively furnished, and all of them have well-appointed shower or bathrooms. Most rooms have balconies, many of which are south-facing and overlook the piste where the World Cup Downhill run finishes, and there are some pairs of rooms with an inter-connecting door available on request.

Val d'Isère

Val d'Isère is probably the resort that has access to the best all-round ski area in the world, the Espace Killy With just over 100 lifts compared to the 300 to be found in the Trois Vallées, the Espace Killy is obviously not the largest ski area in the world, but size isn’t everything and this region has as much skiing as one could ever need, not to mention the longest winter in the Alps. (The winter ski season here begins in late November and continues until early May and the early- and late-season conditions are seldom disappointing.

The main centre of Val d'Isere has been virtually rebuilt over the past 25 years and many of the buildings are imaginative contemporary interpretations of the traditional stone and wood Savoyard style.

Val d'Isere ski holidays were revolutionised with the introduction of apres-ski in the 80s when Dick Yates-Smith set up the seminal bar-nightclub, known as Dicks Tea-Bar.
