Chalet Lo Soli

Chalet Lo Soli is a quaint, French cottage with traditional stone floors and walls and a charming rustic character. It has a convenient location for skiing, only 50 m from the main lifts in Tignes Les Brévières. Les Brévières is a picturesque village, often called the picture-postcard village of Tignes and has excellent access to the rest of the “Espace Killy” skiing area as well as a good selection of shops and restaurants in its centre.

Lo Soli has a variety of rooms, 4 double/twin rooms with shared bathrooms and a bunkbed room (very small, only suitable for children) and a ski storage area with boot warmer. The cosy living room and the open log fire, add an extra level of charm to this cottage and it’s the perfect place to warm up, with a glass of vin chaud, after a long day of skiing. The cottage still has the excellent catered menus you would expect from any chalet and the staff will provide you will a delicious 5 course meal and quality, bottled French wine.

Because of the shared bathroom facilities, this chalet is not offered on a room by room basis, so groups have their own exclusive home for their length of stay. This quaint cottage is perfect for a family winter getaway, or for a group of friends looking for an intimate and relaxing space and great skiing location.

Tignes

Ski holidays in Tignes offer lively atmosphere with world class snow-sure skiing on the doorstep.

Tignes was created before the French discovered the benefits of making purpose-built resorts look attractive, although it has to be said that  some attractive new buildings are being added. The renovated old village at the lowest point of the slopes is a favourite lunch spot and a friendly and nice place to stay.

Tignes lies at an altitude of 2,100m and the main settlement is at Tignes Le Lac, which also has a satellite suburb called Le Lavachet, but there is another satellite development along the road at Val Claret, at the foot of the lifts up to the Grande Motte. Getting between the various parts of Tignes is easy enough on skis during the day and Le Lac and Le Lavachet are within reasonable walking distance of each other. A shuttle bus service links Val Claret with the rest of Tignes. It runs frequently during the day, half-hourly after 8.30pm and hourly after midnight throughout the night.
