Resort details

Gressoney

Warm Italian hospitality, rich cultural tradition and excellent skiing in one of the largest ski areas in Italy.

Situated in Italy’s Aosta Valley and at the centre of the Monterosa Ski area, Gressoney is made up of two mountain villages; Gressoney-La-Trinité and Gressoney-Saint-Jean, with the latter situated further down the valley. Alongside the neighboring resorts of Champoluc and Alagna, as part of the Monterosa Ski area, Gressoney boasts 180km of well-connected pistes at ranging altitudes from 1200m to 2970m. With just a short 1hour 30 minute transfer from nearby airport of Turin, skiing in Gressoney is easily accessible and begs to be enjoyed over a long and leisurely weekend.

In both Gressoney-La-Trinité and Gressoney-Saint-Jean expect warm Italian hospitality coupled with a comforting sense of history. Up on the slopes, access to the whole of the Monterosa Ski area is available, which champions some of the best Italian off-piste and beautifully scenic heli-skiing opportunities. Naturally, this terrain is suited to more experienced skiers. Alternatively, a more intimate ski experience can be found in Gressoney-Saint-Jean, with its own slopes and low woodland skiing.

Gressoney is a fantastic option for those after a quieter and more laid back mountain vibe. With a quiet après-ski scene but a well-established culinary tradition, Gressoney is a fantastic option for those looking for somewhere different for a short weekend break that combines some great off-piste terrain with a charming resort.
