Chalet d’Isere

Chalet d’Isere is conveniently located for both the skiing and the village, offering good-sized bedrooms with huge windows and balconies and lovely bathrooms.

The superb living room features wood and stone, up under the open roof timbers, where the views are best. Chalet d’Isere’s comfy sofas and chairs are the perfect place to sit around until the candles have burnt out, and when the only light will come from the moon shining through the massive south-facing windows.

Just on the edge of the main village, five minutes' walk from the shops and restaurants, and just a few seconds in ski boots from bus stops to the Funival (one stop), village centre (two stops) or Rond-Point des Pistes (four stops).

It has eight bedrooms, all en-suite and all of the qualities and facilities you have specified.

If you don't have fifteen skiing friends, Chalet d'Isère's eight gorgeous bedrooms, all with excellent facilities, make this a perfect chalet to come to as a couple or in a small party.

Resort details

Val d'Isère

Val d'Isère is probably the resort that has access to the best all-round ski area in the world, the Espace Killy With just over 100 lifts compared to the 300 to be found in the Trois Vallées, the Espace Killy is obviously not the largest ski area in the world, but size isn’t everything and this region has as much skiing as one could ever need, not to mention the longest winter in the Alps. (The winter ski season here begins in late November and continues until early May and the early- and late-season conditions are seldom disappointing.

The main centre of Val d'Isere has been virtually rebuilt over the past 25 years and many of the buildings are imaginative contemporary interpretations of the traditional stone and wood Savoyard style.

Val d'Isere ski holidays were revolutionised with the introduction of apres-ski in the 80s when Dick Yates-Smith set up the seminal bar-nightclub, known as Dicks Tea-Bar.
