Chalet Chardons

Chalet Chardons is a simple but comfortable hotel, situated in Tignes Les Brévières. It is principally a budget hotel, but its a great place for ski and snowboarding enthusiasts, who are looking for an affordable holiday and access to the fantastic “Espace Killy” area, as well as all the amenities you would expect from a chalet holiday, crucially without the large price tag. This chalet hotel is great value for money and despite being a budget hotel, they have an excellent quality of cuisine and offer a delicious three course or banquet style meal every night, perfect to warm you up after a long days skiing.

The hotel has an alpine style bar for residents of the hotel, which offers a wide selection of local and imported drinks. The dining area features a large balcony, which looks out onto the beautiful Les Brévières lake. The majority of the rooms have en-suites with comfortable double/twin beds or bunk beds, with a good amount of storage space and are cleaned daily by the friendly, hard-working staff.

Les Brévières is a charming village and has shops and ski facilities which are a few minutes from the hotel. It also has an excellent selection of local family-run restaurants and is a popular lunch time and evening spot. 

Chalet Chardons has a great location  and is only two minutes from the ski lifts. The friendly atmosphere and cosy setting of the hotel makes it the perfect place to go with friends or to meet like-minded people.

Ski holidays in Tignes offer lively atmosphere with world class snow-sure skiing on the doorstep.

Tignes was created before the French discovered the benefits of making purpose-built resorts look attractive, although it has to be said that  some attractive new buildings are being added. The renovated old village at the lowest point of the slopes is a favourite lunch spot and a friendly and nice place to stay.

Tignes lies at an altitude of 2,100m and the main settlement is at Tignes Le Lac, which also has a satellite suburb called Le Lavachet, but there is another satellite development along the road at Val Claret, at the foot of the lifts up to the Grande Motte. Getting between the various parts of Tignes is easy enough on skis during the day and Le Lac and Le Lavachet are within reasonable walking distance of each other. A shuttle bus service links Val Claret with the rest of Tignes. It runs frequently during the day, half-hourly after 8.30pm and hourly after midnight throughout the night.
