Offers available

The Annapurna II has a traditional wood/stone exterior and lovely spacious interior. The large living/dining room boasts fantastic views and a modern wood burning stove. The cosy under eaves seating area in the living room is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine after a day exploring the vast Espace Killy. The chalet boasts spacious bedrooms, most with balconies, and all with en-suite facilities. In addition, guests will enjoy excellent facilities including a TV, DVD player, a hot tub, sauna and heated boot racks.

Chalet Annapurna II was excellent, ski -in and ski out (on a red run), close to the amenities. Staff at the chalet were excellent, welcoming and helpful. Tignes weather, due to glacier skiing was unpredictable, but in the main, good. Snow conditions were excellent and there is a good variety of piste for all abilities.

The Chalet Annapurna II was superb, the lounge area particularly was spacious and with the most comfy seats I have found in a ski chalet to date. Our chalet hosts were welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It was nice to have a bath as well as a shower to soak tired muscles (the hot tub was also good), which again a lot of chalets only provide showers. There was even a lift which I have to say I used towards the end of the week...! The nicest chalet I have stayed in and would definitely recommend!

Tignes

Ski holidays in Tignes offer lively atmosphere with world class snow-sure skiing on the doorstep.

Tignes was created before the French discovered the benefits of making purpose-built resorts look attractive, although it has to be said that  some attractive new buildings are being added. The renovated old village at the lowest point of the slopes is a favourite lunch spot and a friendly and nice place to stay.

Tignes lies at an altitude of 2,100m and the main settlement is at Tignes Le Lac, which also has a satellite suburb called Le Lavachet, but there is another satellite development along the road at Val Claret, at the foot of the lifts up to the Grande Motte. Getting between the various parts of Tignes is easy enough on skis during the day and Le Lac and Le Lavachet are within reasonable walking distance of each other. A shuttle bus service links Val Claret with the rest of Tignes. It runs frequently during the day, half-hourly after 8.30pm and hourly after midnight throughout the night.
