Situated in the heart of Lac de Tignes, Alpaka allows you to have great access to the slopes and the resort facilities.

A traditional Tignes style building, the Alpaka is full of character and charm assuring our guests of a warm and welcoming stay.

The dining room has picture windows on two sides affording wonderful mountain views. The cosy and friendly public bar on the ground floor has a large central fireplace providing a great focal point and plenty of comfy seating - a perfect spot to sit back and relax with a cup of tea and slice of cake at afternoon tea before perhaps moving onto something stronger!

There is a cosy, friendly atmosphere and delightful ambience, BT sports is available for sports fans so you don't need to miss your favourite matches and the bar hosts a varied Apres ski programme for you to enjoy……. without even having to put your coat on and venture outside!

Tignes

Ski holidays in Tignes offer lively atmosphere with world class snow-sure skiing on the doorstep.

Tignes was created before the French discovered the benefits of making purpose-built resorts look attractive, although it has to be said that  some attractive new buildings are being added. The renovated old village at the lowest point of the slopes is a favourite lunch spot and a friendly and nice place to stay.

Tignes lies at an altitude of 2,100m and the main settlement is at Tignes Le Lac, which also has a satellite suburb called Le Lavachet, but there is another satellite development along the road at Val Claret, at the foot of the lifts up to the Grande Motte. Getting between the various parts of Tignes is easy enough on skis during the day and Le Lac and Le Lavachet are within reasonable walking distance of each other. A shuttle bus service links Val Claret with the rest of Tignes. It runs frequently during the day, half-hourly after 8.30pm and hourly after midnight throughout the night.
