With 8,171 acres of skiable terrain and an average winter snowfall of over 39.1ft, Whistler is arguably one of the world's greatest ski resorts. The variety of slopes and modern lift systems makes the on-mountain activities excellent for all abilities, whilst the village offers plenty to keep you busy, no matter what your budget is.

Whistler is currently undergoing an $18 million expansion with 2 new high speed chairs being readied for the 2013/14 season. Whistler Mountain’s Harmony high-speed, quad chairlift will be replaced with a new Doppelmayr high-speed, detachable, six-pack chairlift capable of transporting six people on each chair. Blackcomb Mountain will see a lift enhancement with a high-speed quad chairlift going into a new area in the Crystal Zone.

Whistler Activities

The Peak to Creek Run
 
Whistler's 11km ski run, that starts way up at the top of Peak Chair and ends right down in Creekside. Be warned, it's a thigh burner.
The Peak 2 Peak Gondola
 
Opened in December 2008, this behemoth of a gondola transports skiers 4.4kms from the top of Whistler mountain, to the top of Blackcomb in just 11 minutes.
The Lively Apres Scene
 
With live music easy found all over the Whistler village, it's far to easy to find yourself in bar after a hard days skiing. Those looking to party in their ski boots must try the GLC, Longhorns and Merlins.
Waffles at the Crystal Hut
