If North America is your plan, and long flights are not your thing, you will want to consider North America’s Eastern resorts. A range of direct flights from the UK makes a week long trip quite feasible. The mountains are a little less rugged here, but resorts are quite charming, with snow records comparable with Europe.
KILLINGTON
A great family resort with diverse terrain and a shorter transatlantic crossing, so all should arrive with nerves intact. The biggest of the New England resorts.
SUNDAY RIVER
A friendly but slightly sprawling resort with 92% of terrain covered by snowmaking facilities. Appeals to families and novice skiers.
