NOT A BAD CHOICE: THERE ARE PLENTY OF SUNNY TERRACES AND BALCONIES Many of the best mountain restaurants are accessible to non-skiers by foot, bus or telecabin, so it is easy for non-skiers to rendez-vous with their skiing friends at mid-day. There is not a great deal of shopping, but the village centre is far from dead in the middle of the day and there is a good choice of cafes and restaurants. Many of these have south-facing sun terraces which come into their own in the spring. Non-skiers should try to ensure that their chalet, apartment or hotel has a good, sunny terrace.
