In a review of specialist ski holiday websites on 29 January 2005, Nick Trend in the Savvy Traveller column of The Daily Telegraph compared skisolutions.com with three other major sites.We are proud to say that we came out of his survey rather well.Trend noted that:

"Unlike the other sites reviewed here, Ski Solutions was a full-blown specialist travel agency before it [also] became an internet site."

Trend also reported that Director Lizzie Norton:

"puts the greatest emphasis on trying to give a complete service — from listing late deals to providing detailed advice and information on resorts and accommodation. She estimates that about 60% of her customers ring with an 'open' question: they want suggestions on where they should go or stay, rather than have a specific holiday or package in mind. The company deals with about 50 tour operators but will book tailor-made arrangements - mostly for private clients at the top end of the market who don't want to book a package."

Discussing the website, Trend commented:

"Excellent online resort guides, streets ahead of the competitors.They are detailed (the only ones to include the price of lift passes, for example) and include well-rounded judgments, rather than promotional copy. Quality is kept high by concentrating on the 30 major destinations in Europe and North America (though others can be booked). Recommendations for the luxury end of the market are particularly strong."
