Make-A-Wish in the UK

Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK is a charity with a single purpose – to grant magical wishes to children and young people aged 3-17 fighting life-threatening illnesses.

Make-A-Wish has granted more than 7,000 magical wishes over 25 years. They know that their wishes transform lives!

Over 20,000 children in the UK are living with a life-threatening illness, a figure validated by research commissioned by Make-A-Wish. At a human level, Make-A-Wish believe few things can be more important, or more deserving, than giving a seriously ill child the chance to have their wish come true, with all the hope, expectation and happiness that brings.

This year alone 1,200 children will turn to Make-A-Wish to have their special wish granted. And they want to grant a wish to every one of these.

Ski Solutions is proud to partner with Make-A-Wish in an effort to raise £40,000 to grant ten magical wishes. We will be working together to raise these funds throughout the winter season. How are we planning to do it?

We have published a hard cover coffee table book filled with unforgettable ski experiences called Unparalleled. The book is available for purchase in Ellis Brigham stores countrywide. All profits from the sale of Unparalleled will go to Make-A-Wish to grant the wishes. 

How can you get involved? Either purchase a copy of Unparalleled or simply add £1 per person on to the cost of your reservation at the time of booking and this too will be passed onto Make-A-Wish.

Ski the World Challenge 2012

For those clients who were up for the challenge we hosted the inaugural Ski the World Challenge in Courmayeur, Italy in March 2012. The challenge was set to test a skier's endurance with three days of skiing! Pairs of skiers headed off to Courmayeur to ski the combined height of the highest peaks on the seven continents. That's roughly 43,000 metres...in three days!!! The event was a resoundign success and we are planning next years challenge already.
